My First Post is for the Playdate Cafe Color Challenge. What I realized this afternoon while I was designing was that I am very heavily inspired by music. Hmmmmm.... Most everything I create is related to a song that I have in mind for whatever reason. This is an out of the box challenge and I wanted to create something that illustrates the rebel factor. What could be more opposite of the norm than PUNK? There is this song that I love, love, love, straight out of 1988 called "Punk Rock Girl," by the Dead Milkmen. It's the the quirkiest teenaged love song that you've ever heard, here's the first verse:
One saturday I took a walk to Zipperhead, I met a girl there and she almost knocked me dead,
Punk Rock Girl, Please look at me
Punk Rock Girl, What do you see?
Let's travel round the world, just you and me Punk Rock Girl
Anyway, I Hope you dig my card, I had a lot of fun making it, thanks for stopping by:)
Here is the color combo for this weeks PDCC
