For this weeks Mojo Monday sketch challenge, I decided to make a child's Birthday card. Carnival themed parties are all the rage this season so, I went with that! This card would be great for a little boy. I plan on giving it to one of my daughter's friends for their upcoming birthday!

My Monday Mommy Craft- A Colorful Gift for a Teacher

A special shout out to all of you fabulous women who will spend today carrying around a diaper bag, rather than a briefcase, who's board-meetings take place in the playground, who may not get a lunch break or even a closed-door bathroom visit! We may not necessarily "go" to work but, we work very hard nonetheless! This crafts for you!

My role as a full-time Mom is a constant source of inspiration for all sorts of craft projects from party decorations to altered art for our home as well as gifts. With the new school year upon us, I wanted to share a cute and thrifty craft that would make a perfect gift for a teacher! The crayons were purchased at a Back to School sale, I used 2 packs and all other materials I had on-hand, so I spent a grand total of 0.55, including tax! Gotta love that! Enjoy!
Place dots on container a few at a time in a line. Carefully place crayons onto the box making sure that they are in line with each other and with the bottom of the container.

I embellished with just a brightly colored bow, I wanted to keep the extras to a minimum because the project itself is already so colorful. You can add your pens and it's ready to use or wrap-up for your child's teacher!

Materials Needed:
- 1 small gift box or container. (Use one that you have stashed away in your home, the box will be covered so even a shabby one will do!)
- 1-2 boxes of Crayons, depending upon circumference or area of your container, you may need more.
- Glue dots or a hot glue gun.
- A ribbon to embellish

Gift Wrapping with Heart

I decided to pop-in at nearly the 11th hour and submit this cutesy gift project in the CTMH Heart 2 Heart Challenge. The requirements were, use one Close to My Heart Sentiment in your submission. To be honest, I started this gift tag for my crayon craft project which I have posted on my facebook page however, it just didn't fit so, rather than trash it, I decided to make a "thank you" gift project to go along with my tag. This is a perfect way to dress-up a simple hostess gift, if you are a consultant or, just to add a little pop to an otherwise simple gift for that super special crafter in your life! Playdate Cafe Challenge #47

Hey there, welcome to my tiny corner of the papercrafting eUniverse! I'm still finding my way through this blogging fiasco so, please bear with me...... I guess this is where I tell you all about me, family, dogs, the number of cups of coffe I drink per day etc., etc. It isn't quite that simple, to be completely honest, I'm kind of "all over the place," ya know? My papercrafting is no exception, as far as I can tell my "signature" style is pretty much undefined, I have been known to OD with pinks, ribbon and buttons, I also enjoy creating ultra-clean & simple cards, use oragami, incorporate fabrics and design paper flowers as well. One thing's for sheezy, I sure do LOVE me some color!!!!!

My First Post is for the Playdate Cafe Color Challenge. What I realized this afternoon while I was designing was that I am very heavily inspired by music. Hmmmmm.... Most everything I create is related to a song that I have in mind for whatever reason. This is an out of the box challenge and I wanted to create something that illustrates the rebel factor. What could be more opposite of the norm than PUNK? There is this song that I love, love, love, straight out of 1988 called "Punk Rock Girl," by the Dead Milkmen. It's the the quirkiest teenaged love song that you've ever heard, here's the first verse:

One saturday I took a walk to Zipperhead, I met a girl there and she almost knocked me dead,
